Fall Triangle Foodie Tweet-up at Fork and Barrel

It’s been awhile since we last hosted a Triangle Foodie Tweet-up, but Andrea Weigl and myself are happy to announce the Fall Tweet up will take place at Fork and Barrel, October 3, 2011 from 6-8pm.

Are you a foodie on Twitter and live in the Triangle area? Join hosts Fork and
Barrel (@ForkandBarrel, Facebook Page), Andrea Weigl of the News & Observer (@andreaweigl) and Johanna Kramer (me =)) editor of the blog Durham Foodie (@durhamfoodie) for the Fall Triangle Foodie Tweetup!

This is a great opportunity to meet your favorite food, beer and wine bloggers and fellow triangle area foodies. Tickets are $8 (plus eventbrite and paypal fees) and include a delicious menu. There wiill be a cash bar available.

Fall Tweet-up Menu

Homemade potato chips with gorgonzola dip (Chefs gorgonzola dip is the bomb diggity!!)

Assorted bruschetta: Roasted beets with goat cheese and pinenuts.  Spinach with roasted garlic, mushrooms and shaved parmesan

Mini house burgers with gorgonzola and fontina cheeses, fresh arugula and a bacon – balsamic – onion jam (I’ll take 10 please!!)

Roasted squash and wild mushroom chili with a goat cheese creme fraiche

About Fork and Barrel

Chris has been a chef for 15 years.  For the past seven he has been at City Beverage in Durham.  Danny has been a front of the house manager
for 13 years.  For the past five he has been at Manchester’s in Raleigh. The two
have known each other longer than they care to admit and have dreamed of owning their own restaurant for just about as long. And well, here it is…The “Fork and Barrel”.

Their menu will be focused on fresh, local ingredients.  Some menu items will be spicy, some will be classy, and some will be fun. But all items will adhere to the high standards Chris and Danny and you expect.
