“Cook for Good” Challenge and Give-Away

Have you heard the news? Linda Watson, Author of “Wildly Affordable Organic” is hosting the “Cook for Good” Challenge starting tomorrow Saturday July 16th.

The “Cook for Good” Challenge gives participants the opportunity to learn to cook from scratch, meals that are healthy and affordable, with foods that are in season…..in only two weeks.

To learn more, join Linda Watson at the Western Wake Farmers’ Market (WWFM) tomorrow July 16th from 8-noon where she will discuss the challenge, including recipes and cooking tips.

The challenge is open to all! If you are not in the Triangle or unable to attend the WWFM tomorrow, follow tips from Linda on her website and purchase “Wildly Affordable Organic” for some amazing recipes. If you have a knack for baking, Linda also has a Cook for Good Ebook: More Sweet and Savory Baking for $2.95.

To simplify it further, Linda has provided a menu plan and shopping list to follow. How much easier can it get!

For those participating in the challenge, follow the 20-minute-a-day plan, cooking about two-thirds of your meals from scratch during the first week and all your meals from scratch the second week.

Why not make it a group effort and have your friends and family join the challenge with you. It’s a great way to ignite some friendly competition, engage in conversations about food and learn some healthy new cooking techniques.

To further the cause, you can individually, or as a group, donate to a charity or good cause the money you saved between your everyday traditional meals and the healthy plans of the challenge.
