Pizza Night at Scratch
This is the first ever Pizza Night at Scratch and as usual Phoebe will find inspiration from what is in season and create delicious pies using local ingredients.
Scratch will have lemonade, coffees and bottled drinks for sale, but you can also bring your own beer or wine (they ask you to please not bring spirits). They will provide glasses. Pie will be on the menu for dessert…yum yum!!
Scratch hopes to make Pizza Night a twice monthly event. Yes Please!!

So many great events to check out for Cinco de Mayo, there was no way to list them all. Here are my top picks and lord know where I’ll end up. I may even stay in and test out some of my taco recipes while sipping a margarita….or two!

Yelp’s Athletes vs Mathletes Open Party
Get ready to rumble, because Yelp NC Triangle is throwing a party of pep rally proportions: It’s Athletes vs Mathletes free food & booze fest! Suit up and get ready for a sportin’ good time…
Food and drinks are free but you must RSVP to get in. You can RSVP until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!!!
The event takes place at Crabtree Tavern with beer being donated by Lonerider, Fullsteam, Natty Greene’s, Roth Brewing, Big Boss Brewing and Bud Light.
Prepare to tantalize your taste buds with things like Lamb Sliders with Smoked Gouda & Caramelized Onions, Crawfish Beignets with Spicy Aioli, Short Rib Crustini, Spinach & Feta Saccotini, Dips (Hummus, Salsa, Pimento) and Shrimp & Grit Cakes
Have some fun with double-shot Basketball, mini golf, and skee hole for prizes, take pictures in the photobooth or relax with some ‘sports therapy’ massage.
There will be raffles and Yelp swag up for grabs. Yelp asks that you remember to bring CASH to tip your bartenders and sponsors.
The after party starts at 10pm with live music and drink specials.

Haw River Festival

The Haw River Festival is celebrating its 22nd year of exceptional local music, environmental education activities, local art, and unique children’s activities. Admission is free.
Activities include live music, kids’ activities & guided canoe rides, nature walks, rain garden plant sale, farmer’s market, craft sales, live art auction & much more!
Food will be available from local food trucks and restaurants.
